This breathtaking TAG Heuer Monaco Limited Edition watch marks the end of an era for the iconic Monaco model as we say farewell to the Calibre 12 Quartz winding movement. The Swiss made calibre has powered many TAG Heuer Monaco watches since its introduction in 2009 and as a special send off, the movement is being used within this TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 Final Edition for one last time. The Calibre 12 Quartz movement is renowned for its fantastic functionality and technical elegance which includes a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 59 rubies and an exquisite ‘Cotes de Geneve’ oscillating rotor which can be viewed the exhibition case back.
On the dial of the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 Final Edition Limited Edition, the movement also provides classic hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds at 3 o clock, a date window, central chronograph seconds, a chronograph minutes counter at 9 o clock and a healthy power reserve of 40 hours. The black on grey dial is absolutely breathtaking crafted from vertically brushed ruthenium, a rare material which gives off a subtle iridescence when looked at from certain angles while the scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass treated with an anti-reflective coating and Superluminova coated hands and indices provide optimal legibility. To complete the look of the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 watch, the iconic 39mm by 39mm square shaped stainless steel case is fitted with a sophisticated black alligator leather strap and a classic stainless steel deployment buckle.
